These all-brass shutoff valves and accompanying gaskets seem reasonably well made and we have not experienced any leaks. The valve was initially a bit stiff to operate, but it loosened up with a bit of use. We gave the valve stem a shot of spray lube to ease movement and reduce corrosion (in a non-drinking water application).More often than not, brass garden hose fittings like these are made in China or India, and the casting quality can be pretty bad. These castings appear good and they are finished fairly well, with no sharp edges or obvious casting defects (e.g., pinholes, shrinkage defects, mold defects, etc.).We think this is a very good value, as (at the time of this review) you get four valves for $16, or $4 each. We will post an update if we have any issues with the valves in service as time goes on.

These little 3/4 inch garden hose shutoff valves do exactly what they are supposed to. The solid brass construction feels sturdy and heavier than expected, which gives me confidence that they will hold up over time without corroding or leaking. I have tested them under regular garden hose pressure and so far they seal tight with no drips.The one drawback is the handle length. It is on the small side, which makes them a bit harder to turn, especially if your hands are wet or if you have weaker grip strength. It takes a bit more effort than the long-handled ones in my garden. A slightly longer handle would make them much easier to use. That said, once turned, they work smoothly and provide reliable flow control.Overall, these are well-built, functional shutoff valves that add convenience to any garden setup. Just be prepared that the compact handle design prioritizes size over ease of turning.

These water valves have been a nice addition to my household hoses. I've had issues with others in the past with plastic shut off switches and the metal ones have been a game changer. They can be a little tough to turn on occasion, but they are of solid build. As long as I put them on with a wrench I haven't had any issues with them leaking. I'd definitely recommend these.
